Visualising Star of the South

We're often asked what the offshore wind farm could look like. We’ve updated our interactive tools so you can see for yourself.

Visit the interactive map on our website to:

  • See views of the proposed wind farm from different places

  • View videos

  • Explore the project area.

Did you know?

Star of the South would save 7 million tonnes of CO2 emissions per year from going into the atmosphere. That’s equivalent to the carbon sequestered by growing 115 million tree seedlings for 10 years.

Once the project is up and running, it’s predicted that the carbon generated from the manufacturing, shipping and construction of Star of the South would be offset within around 4.5 months.

Energy Awards finalist

This month we were recognised for our community engagement work, as a finalist in the AFR Energy Awards.

Working with local communities has been a priority for us from the project’s inception many years ago. Thank you to everyone who has spoken with us, shared feedback and advice, attended our events or Gippsland office and worked with us over the years.

We’ll continue to work closely with locals, Traditional Owners, local businesses, fishers and landholders - your input and advice helps to shape a better project from an early stage.

Charles, Jess, Paul and James attended the awards night in Sydney
